Okay so. I added something to my menu and I need you to hear me out before you close this tab.
I was building out my service list, feeling very professional and organized, and then right at the end I was like... you know what's actually genius? Paying me to let you sleep. And then I added it. And now it's a real thing you can book. I fully expect someone to read this and go "wait what," so let me explain myself.
What even is it
It's a nap add-on. You get extra time at the end of your massage to just lie there. Room's already dim, it's already quiet, nobody's rushing you — you just get to stay in that spot a little longer instead of getting yeeted back into your day the second I'm done.
I know how that sounds. "Pay extra to do nothing" is not a pitch that writes itself. Just bear with me for a second.
Turns out I'm not the only unhinged one
Here's the part that actually convinced me this wasn't a totally unhinged idea — this is becoming an actual thing in the wellness world right now. There's a whole trend around it, people are calling it "sleepmaxxing," spas are realizing rest is basically its own product. So if your first reaction was "that's weird," congrats, you've just discovered a trend before your friends did. You're welcome.
Why it's actually not dumb
Real talk about massages: you don't clock how relaxed you are until right at the very end. You're in that heavy, drooly, "is this what death feels like" state of peace, and normally that's exactly when I'm like "okay you're done, go be a person now." Which is honestly rude of the entire industry, when you think about it. Your body just worked really hard to shut down completely and we're supposed to just... snap out of it?
You paid for the whole experience. Finish the bite.
Why you should actually add it
It's genuinely not that expensive, and it changes everything about how you leave. Instead of going from "melted puddle" to "upright functioning adult" in ten seconds flat, you get a buffer. A few extra minutes so your nervous system can catch up before you're back in traffic, silently screaming at people who cannot hear you.
And honestly? It's a nap you don't have to feel weird about. You didn't skip a meeting for it. You didn't fall asleep somewhere embarrassing. It's on your invoice. It's basically self-care with a receipt.
So yeah. Book the weird thing.
Add it when you schedule your session, or just ask me when you get here if you're not sure yet. I'll step out, dim it down even more, and let you have your very earned, very legit nap. Snoring is allowed. I've heard worse.
